71 east 71st street is the same building as 740 Park, but it is the separate side entrance for the building. It gets its own page for no particular reason other than that I happened to be passing on 71st one day when the light was a little better and there was less clutter on the street so that I could get some nice photos of the detail along the sidewalk. The entryway both on Park Avenue and on 71st are virtually identical so getting a close up is a lot easier on the side street rather than having to more or less stand in the middle of Park Avenue to get the shots in front. The carving of the granite entryway is incredibly unique compared to most of the other buildings from the period and in particular to Candela.
