829 Park Avenue

December 21, 2012 by Andy

829 Park Avenue is a great example of a classic building design with a central court, or well which creates a “U” shape for the build. The purpose of this design was to allow for better circulation of light and air to pass through and enter the apartments. 829 Park is a twelve story building with 48 apartments, built in 1909 by Pickering & Walker. The façade isn’t nearly as complex or colorful as many of its neighbors, but nonetheless maintains a certain simple elegance.
